Pad Eye

A pad eye is a metal device that is attached to a surface and serves as an anchor point for ropes, chains, or other lifting equipment. Pad eyes are commonly used in marine, industrial, and construction applications, where they provide a secure and convenient way to lift or move heavy objects. Pad eyes can have different shapes and sizes, depending on the type and direction of the load they are designed to withstand. Some common types of pad eyes are round, oval, rectangular, and triangular. Pad eyes can be welded, bolted, or riveted to the surface, and they usually have a hole or a ring to accommodate the lifting pin or shackle.
